LET'S TALK ABOUT THE FOUNDER OF SYN-TEC NUTRICEUTICALS ... GLENN MACLEAN. 
 
 
Glenn is a New Zealand national (a proud kiwi) who came to Australia in 1988. Through out the 1980’s Glenn was passionate about fitness and exercise as many kiwis are and strived for excellence in the body building arena. 
 
Years of training and research on sports nutrition has resulted in Glenn developing a broad knowledge of weight and strength training techniques along with an appreciation for the role proper nutrition plays in helping to achieve specific sports performance goals. 
 
Years of personal experimentation using dietary supplements combined with proper nutrition and weight training has contributed to Glenn’s personal success in life. A well balanced life combined with exercise and proper nutrition helps keep harmony in every day living. Harmony helps to maintain a clear mind and healthy body which in turn enables ones self to be focused on ones goals. 
 
Through the years, Glenn was approached by his peers while training at the gym and was asked his advice on exercise and training techniques specific to body building and also his views on nutrition. This was happening nearly every day back in the early 1990’s and was the beginning of a life changing event.  
 
During the early 1990’s Glenn was importing nutritional dietary supplements from the USA and New Zealand for his personal use. These were needed to support his nutritional diet to help him achieve his goals in growing a well balanced symmetrical body. Not to be competitive in the professional sport of body building, but just to achieve a personal best for himself. The success Glenn enjoyed with his nutritional approach to support his training and exercise performance was witnessed by many of his peers and other participants from other sporting codes who wanted to know his secrets. There were no secrets, just a sound base of knowledge in regards to proper exercise and nutrition, which Glenn then shared with everybody who wanted to learn. 
 
This resulted in Glenn not only importing his own nutritional supplements, but also supplies of the same for his learned friends. As the sports nutrition industry started to grow in the mid 1990’s Glenn witnessed a huge demand for quality sports supplements of which the Australian market lacked and decided to commercialize his personal success… hence the birth of Syn-Tec Nutriceuticals.  
 
Glenn approached his connections in the sports nutrition industry in New Zealand and contracted manufacturers to manufacture dietary supplements specific to sports nutrition. Food manufacturing processes in New Zealand supported by broad dietary supplement regulations encouraged a quality dietary supplement industry to develop and with further research into what food ingredients world class sports persons were supplementing their diets with, formed the foundation for the Syn-Tec Nutriceuticals range of quality nutritional dietary supplements specifically formlated for sports people to assist in obtaining their specific nutritional needs for optimum peformance. 
 
From those humble beginnings, through to the late1990’s, progress was made in food technology and the manufacture of specific ingredients required to aid sports performance underpinned the growth of Syn-Tec Nutriceuticals due to its continuation to constantly bring to market, cutting edge nutritional supplements incorporating the latest sports specific food ingredients. The 21st century was now upon us and Syn-Tec Nutriceuticals under Glenn’s leadership developed a unique business model which propelled Syn-Tec to greater heights. 
 
In the early 2000’s Glenn was marketing the Syn-Tec brand through professional sports nutrition retailers. Retailers that actually had a sound knowledge of the science behind sports specific nutrition. Personal and sports trainers formed a retail front line for the Syn-Tec products. Between 2000 and 2003, Glenn empowered these trainers to adopt the business model that he enjoyed success from … one on one communication and advice and not so much on internet retailing. This business model alone propelled Syn-Tec into a multimillion dollar business which funded an accellerated pipe line of products to be brought to market. Larger distribution networks were then set up and further expansion into contract manufacturing was established as industry peers identified Syn-Tec’s research and development team, once again led by Glenn, as one of the best. Then as the internet came into its own in the mid 2000’s Syn-Tec Nutriceuticals like all businesses got caught in the internet wave and found its products being sold by many online retailers. This grew the brand name further and as a result “you” are reading this story on line. 
 
Now we are into 2008. Syn-Tec has well over a decade of experience in developing sports specific nutritional dietary supplements and is now placed well ahead of its local competitors in product choice and diversified ingredients. Glenn founded Syn-Tec with a vision to bring to market a range of dietary supplements that only he would use himself. If they’re not good enough for him to use then they’re not good enough for you, was his motto. ALAN FELS ... BODY BUILDER 
 
Al has been living on the Gold Coast for years and has been building his body using Syn-Tec products. Al's favourite protein powder was the Nitro Plex (now the new Syn-Tec SP3) and was a great fan of the BCAA's for extra protein while dieting restrictions meant less meat.  
 
Alan has been involved in fitness for over 20 years, and in that time has built up a strong foundation of knowledge regarding both nutrition and training.
